Syracuse Herald Journal- Nats Perform In Baltimore
The Syracuse Nationals and Baltimore Bullets open their 1954-55 National Basketball Association campaigns here tonight and by the time the season concludes March 13, a 324-game schedule will be completed with each of the nine teams participating in 72 tests. A total of 46 twin bills have been scheduled with each team participating in a minimum of four double headers. The Nats will use a veteran array on opening the pennant chase. Coach Al Cervi has named Dolph Schayes, Earl Lloyd, Wally Osterkorn, Paul Seymour and George King as starters. In reserve the Syracusans have Dick Farley, Jackie Moore, John Kerr, Bill Kenville and Bill Gabor.
