Amsterdam Evening Recorder- NBA Syracuse Nats Show Severe Losses
Syracuse— Officers of the Syracuse Nationals of the National Basketball Association report a net loss of $48,100 for the club for the 1961-62 season. The officials told stockholders at the club's anjual meeting Wednesday night that operating costs totaled $330,000. The Nats had income of $184,900 from gate receipts and $97,000 from other sources, including television, sale of players and fund-raising activities here. A reserve fund will absorb the loss, officials said. Dan Biasone was relected president. Stockholders named Charles A. Schoeneck, Jr., former majority leader of the State Assembly, to the board of directors.
