Syracuse Herald Journal- Ferris Signs Nats Contract

Leo F. Ferris has a contract as general manager of the Syracuse Nats today, signing a delayed pact following a meeting of the club’s board of directors. It was reported Ferris had objected to some of the clauses in a previous contract offered and had been directing the front office without a binding agreement. It was said some of Ferris’ outside promotional activities have been curbed. Meanwhile Coach Al Cervi’s charges are drilling for a weekend series with the Knicks, the first in New York Saturday night, and back home with the same club Sunday night. Red Rocha was presented a third daughter by his wife, Virginia, in Syracuse General Hospital yesterday. They have two other daughters.
